Working with steel fabrications and composite panelling materials, they provide tailored engineering solutions from concept through to completion. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to their team of six, offering the opportunity to manage varied and technically challenging projects while working closely with customers across the UK.

The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects throughout their full lifecycle, from the initial customer enquiry through to final installation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing specifications and detailed engineering drawings
- Designing bespoke engineering solutions to meet customer requirements
- Costing and quoting projects
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Supporting projects through manufacture, delivery and installation
- Liaising directly with customers and stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Attending client sites across the UK when required, including occasional overnight stays
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification
About You
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Previous experience within Mechanical Design Engineering
- Strong experience with Sheet Metal and Fabrication design
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- Experience using one or more of the following:
- Autodesk Inventor
- Autodesk products
- Tekla
- Revit
- A full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and resilient approach to problem-solving
