Our client is seeking a skilled and efficient MET Technician to join a leading accident repair centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art body shop, repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications using the latest equipment and repair techniques.
Key Requirements
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship as an MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician
- Holds a relevant technical qualification (NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ or equivalent)
- Proven experience working as an MET Technician within a busy body shop environment
- Strong team player with a self-motivated approach and the drive to achieve bonus hours
- Ability to work to the highest standards with up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair methods
- Diagnostic training and experience
Key Responsibilities
- Work efficiently within a fast-paced accident repair centre
- Strip, repair, and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components
- Carry out detailed inspections to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle system issues
- Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer specifications and customer expectations
- Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain an efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work undertaken
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures
