We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for ongoing trunking work with a well-established transport company. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers looking for regular night shifts, excellent rates of pay, and long-term work.
Pay Rates
- £23.78 per hour for the first 9.5 hours
- £34.67 per hour after 9.5 hours (overtime rate)
Job Details
- HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Night shifts with a typical 6:00 PM start
- 10 hour shifts Monday to Friday
- Ongoing, long-term work
- Trunking work only – no handball
- Curtain-sided trailer work
- Delivering white goods between distribution centres and depots
- Drivers must be confident in strapping and securing loads correctly to ensure the safe transportation of white goods.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Experience with curtain-sided trailers is advantageous
- Good understanding of load security and safe strapping procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
