About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Residential Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of high-quality residential construction projects in Barnstaple. Working alongside the Site Manager, you will help oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of residential construction sites.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is completed safely and to programme.
- Monitor quality standards and carry out regular inspections.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Help coordinate site logistics, deliveries, and materials.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
- Support the management of customer inspections and defect resolution.
- Assist in achieving project milestones and handover deadlines.
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in residential construction, ideally in an Assistant Site Manager or supervisory role.
- Good understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work Certificate.
- Knowledge of NHBC standards and quality inspections.
- Experience working for a housebuilder or residential contractor.
