Location: Cambridgeshire (own transport desirable)

£35,000 per annum + benefits

Full-time, Permanent | Early finish every Friday

We’re recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a successful manufacturing business supplying innovative products to a global customer base. You’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by managing production orders, monitoring material availability and working closely with Purchasing, Stores, Customer Service and other internal teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Convert planned orders into production orders ready for kitting
  • Identify and resolve material shortages
  • Maintain shortage records and production tracking
  • Review pick lists and investigate discrepancies
  • Resolve BOM, stock and part number issues
  • Liaise with Stores and internal teams to ensure material availability
  • Monitor production shortage reports
  • Investigate production order variances
  • Support inventory accuracy and stock takes

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous Production Planner or Manufacturing Planner experience
  • At least 2 years' production planning experience
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • SAP/MRP experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently
