Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join their busy client in Hanwell. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join a well-established branch. The successful candidate will come from a Builders Merchants and would have worked at either Supervisor or Assistant Manager level previously.
The working hours are:
- Monday to Friday - 07:00 to 16:30
- 1 Saturday on 1 off - 07:30 to 10:30
Salary: £36k to £38k DOE
This role involves:
- Providing full support of the Branch Manager and taking on the role of Branch Manager in their absence.
- Providing customers with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service while optimising branch sales and profit.
- Ensuring the branch operates effectively and efficiently within company policies.
- Supporting all branch staff.
- Identifying all sales opportunities.
- Offering advice and solutions to customers.
- Building relationships with new and existing customers.
- Stock taking.
- Placing orders with suppliers.
- Liaising with customers.
- Ensuring that company policies are followed at all times when producing paperwork associated with sales.
- Maintaining a clean and efficiently merchandised counter area in line with company policy.
To be considered for this role you must have / be:
- Previously worked within a Management or Supervisor level role within a Builders Merchant / Building Supplies business.
- Fluent Urdu, Punjabi or Hindi speaking would be preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Strong man management skills.
- Customer orientated.
- A team player and able to lead by example.
- Computer literate.
- Buying and sales experience within a builders merchant environment.
- Either local to Watford or able to commute.
