We are recruiting an experienced and reliable Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse operation based in Alconbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick stock from warehouse locations using a Warehouse Management System or manual picking notes.
- Deliver stock, paperwork and labels to the appropriate loading bay.
- Identify and remove damaged stock or products with damaged packaging from picking locations.
- Ensure stock is safely, neatly and correctly stacked on pallets.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Complete routine daily checks and basic maintenance on warehouse trucks.
- Keep trucks clean, change batteries and place batteries on charge when required.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and team leaders to resolve problems or potential errors quickly.
- Support the wider warehouse team in delivering a reliable and high-quality service.
- Complete any other reasonable duties required by the business.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment would be advantageous.
- Experience operating a forklift truck or holding a valid FLT licence is desirable, but not essential.
- Comfortable using warehouse systems, picking notes and associated paperwork.
- Good attention to detail and a strong awareness of health and safety.
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively within a busy environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of completing manual warehouse duties.
