The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Operative to join a busy manufacturing team in Sparkford. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background who is looking to gain further experience within a production environment. Working alongside experienced Control Panel Wiremen, you will support the assembly and wiring of electrical accessories and components, helping to alleviate pressure on the existing team while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This position would suit an electrical graduate, electrical assembler, electrical technician, or someone with relevant hands-on electrical experience who can quickly adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring electrical accessories including fans, sensors, motors and related components.
- Wiring and fitting electrical plugs and connectors.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring schematics and wiring schedules.
- Assembling cable looms and associated electrical components.
- Using hand tools safely and effectively.
- Carrying out soldering tasks to a high standard.
- Working with bootlace ferrules, insulated crimps and lug crimps.
- Supporting production activities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Reporting any issues, concerns, or queries to supervisors promptly.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous electrical assembly or wiring experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
