Interaction Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business based in the Didcot area. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, our client is looking to recruit an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled production team. As a Production Technician (Welder/Fabricator), you will be responsible for carrying out a mixture of welding, fabrication and production activities to support the manufacture of high-quality engineered products. You will work to strict quality and safety standards while contributing to the ongoing success and continuous improvement of the production operation.
- Carrying out TIG welding to a high standard
- Supporting MIG welding activities where required
- Working from engineering drawings, technical specifications and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Maintaining and working towards company welding qualifications and coded welding standards
- Supporting additional manufacturing processes as required
- Operating overhead cranes and production equipment (training available where required)
- Working closely with production, engineering and support teams
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards
Requirements:
- Previous TIG welding experience
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with a range of fabrication techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexible approach and willingness to learn new processes and products
- Previous MIG welding experience
- Experience working to coded welding standards
- Experience working on pressure vessels or similar specialist fabrications
- Overhead crane experience
- Engineering or welding qualifications
