This is a permanent role. We are recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient, and productive operation of a manufacturing department. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, drive performance, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 3 weeks on 18:00 - 06:00 & 1 week on 06:00 - 18:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support production teams to achieve quality, delivery, and performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate production schedules and communicate priorities across shifts.
- Monitor production performance, waste, scrap, and consumable costs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
- Manage stock levels and production reporting.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and minimise machine downtime.
- Develop team skills through training, coaching, and cross-functional development.
- Monitor attendance, team performance, and employee engagement.
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience monitoring production KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of quality standards, audits, and health & safety.
- Injection or compression moulding experience (desired but not essential).
- Tool changing and machine setting experience (desired but not essential).
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Forklift licence (desired but not essential).
