Job Description

Transport Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)We are seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Manager to join our team based in Andover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a transport professional looking to take ownership of a busy transport operation and play a key role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of transport services.

Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day management of the transport operation.

Ensure full compliance with all relevant transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and company policies.

Manage and support a team of drivers and transport staff.

Plan and optimise vehicle routes and fleet utilisation.

Monitor transport performance, KPIs, and operational efficiency.

Maintain accurate transport records and documentation.

Investigate and resolve operational issues, incidents, and customer concerns.

Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure service excellence.

Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure fleet roadworthiness.

Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements Previous experience in a Transport Manager or similar transport leadership role.

Strong knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours, and compliance requirements.

Excellent organisational and planning skills.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Good IT skills and experience using transport management systems.

CPC Qualification desirable.
