We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Sewing Machinist to join a friendly and supportive manufacturing team based in Wellington. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop hands‑on skills in industrial sewing and manufacturing.
The Role:
- Learning to operate industrial sewing machines safely and effectively
- Working with a variety of materials and fabrics
- Supporting the production of high-quality finished products
- Following patterns, specifications and instructions accurately
- Developing strong standards of workmanship and attention to detail under guidance
- Building confidence through on‑the‑job training and support
What We're Looking For:
- A keen interest in sewing or manufacturing
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual attitude
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
