Location: Wellington Hours: 42.5 per week
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 – 15:00
Overview
The finishing operative is responsible for ensuring all products are completed to a high standard before dispatch. This role suits someone with strong attention to detail, practical skills and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out finishing tasks such as sanding, trimming, polishing, cleaning or surface preparation.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Work to production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
- Complete required documentation such as quality checks and production logs.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a finishing, production or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work.
- Good hand–eye coordination and confidence using tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.
