The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Sous Chef to join a busy kitchen in Golders Green, working to the highest Jewish (kosher) standards. This is a demanding role for a strong, self-sufficient chef who can work independently and maintain exceptional standards at all times.

You will be central to the day-to-day running of the kitchen, while also managing hospitality functions and special requests. The ideal candidate will have proven Sous Chef experience and be ready to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
  • Follow recipe cards accurately and consistently so that every dish meets specification.
  • Prepare and manage hospitality functions and special requests alongside regular service.
  • Uphold strict kosher (Jewish dietary) standards at all times, including the separation of meat and dairy and full adherence to kashrut requirements.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness in line with regulations.
  • Work independently and take ownership of the kitchen when required.
  • Support, guide and motivate the wider kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy, high-standard kitchen.
  • Experience working to kosher / Jewish dietary standards.
  • Confident in following recipe cards accurately and consistently.
  • Strong hospitality background.
  • Experience managing hospitality functions and special requests.
  • Organised, reliable and able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
