Key Account Administrator in Peterborough

Location: Peterborough
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum DOE
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Junior Account Administrator to join an established business based in Peterborough on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous administrative experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and secure a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent.

This isn't simply a general admin role. You'll be involved in the day-to-day running of customer accounts, supporting the sales team and helping to ensure orders move smoothly from initial enquiry through to delivery.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Raising and processing customer orders
• Checking stock availability and ensuring order details are accurate
• Preparing and issuing customer quotations
• Booking deliveries through customer and courier portals
• Planning and monitoring back orders
• Chasing suppliers for stock and delivery updates
• Producing courier tickets and shipping documentation
• Preparing dispatch paperwork for outgoing orders
• Providing administrative support across key customer accounts
• Supporting the external sales team with day-to-day requirements
• Maintaining accurate customer, order and company records
• Answering incoming calls and handling general customer enquiries
• Liaising with internal departments, suppliers and customers
• Providing holiday and absence cover across the administration team
• Supporting management with additional administrative tasks
• Maintaining relevant internal, compliance and Health & Safety documentation
