The Role

  • Program, set and operate CNC multi-axis turning centres to manufacture complex precision-engineered components.
  • Produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.
  • Utilise Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, ensuring efficient machine performance and maximum productivity.
  • Carry out offline programming using Hypermill software and make programme modifications where required.
  • Manufacture components from a range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, aerospace alloys and other exotic materials.
  • Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections to ensure components meet strict quality standards and tight tolerances.
  • Operate multiple machines where required to maximise production efficiency.
  • Complete all associated production documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the machining department.
  • Adhere to all company quality, health & safety and manufacturing procedures.

The Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator within a precision engineering environment (essential)
  • Strong experience programming and setting multi-axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls (essential)
  • Experience of offline programming using Hypermill software (essential)
  • Proven ability to manufacture complex precision-machined components to tight tolerances (essential)
  • Experience machining aerospace alloys, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel and other exotic materials (highly advantageous)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications (essential)
  • Experience carrying out manual inspection and quality control procedures (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible, motivated and quality-focused approach to work
