Interaction Technical are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist provider of hydraulic hose repair and replacement services.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician to their Northampton team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual looking to develop their career within a specialist engineering environment.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate, and the role offers strong earning potential through bonus opportunities and on-call payments.

  • The Duties
  • Provide a professional on-site hydraulic hose replacement and repair service to customers.
  • Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair hydraulic hose failures.
  • Be part of a 24-hour on-call rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
  • Manage stock levels within the Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU).
  • Carry out routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Ensure the service vehicle is kept clean, organised and fully stocked.
  • Maintain accurate technical and procedural documentation.
  • Support workshop and service centre staff when required.
  • Attend company training courses and development programmes.
  • The Requirements
  • Previous experience within a mechanical, plant, engineering, hydraulic, agricultural, HGV, automotive or similar environment.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24-hour on-call rota.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
  • Hydraulic hose experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
