The Opportunity

I am currently recruiting for an experiencedAutomotive Engine Builderto join a well-established and growing business based in Royston. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong mechanical background to play a key role in the assembly of high-quality engines.

The Role

As an Automotive Engine Builder, you will be responsible for assembling engines to precise engineering specifications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble automotive engines to detailed engineering specifications.
• Install and fit engine components using the correct tools and torque settings.
• Carry out quality inspections throughout the build process.
• Ensure completed engines meet performance and reliability standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Assist with other workshop duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• Proven experience in automotive engine building or mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of engine components and assembly processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in engine building or a similar mechanical engineering role.
• Experience working within an automotive workshop or engine remanufacturing environment.
