We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Hospital Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital by transporting patients, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently. Due to the nature of the role and patient dignity requirements, applications from female candidates are preferred in accordance with occupational requirements under the Equality Act 2010.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely between wards, departments, and treatment areas
  • Assist clinical staff with patient movement and transfers
  • Deliver medical equipment, supplies, records, and specimens across the hospital
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of porter equipment such as wheelchairs and trolleys
  • Respond promptly to porter requests and emergencies
  • Provide a courteous and reassuring service to patients and visitors
  • Follow all health & safety, infection control, and confidentiality procedures
