We’re working with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Havering seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time agency role, ideal for an engaging and adaptable teacher who can inspire students to achieve their best in English.
Role Overview
- Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking among students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and feedback
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to share best practice and resources
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion policies at all times
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK
- Confident teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Passionate about English language and literature, with a student-centred approach
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
