Pay: £150 – £210 per day (dependent on experience)

We’re working with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Havering seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time agency role, ideal for an engaging and adaptable teacher who can inspire students to achieve their best in English.

Role Overview

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking among students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and feedback
  • Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to share best practice and resources
  • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion policies at all times

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK
  • Confident teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about English language and literature, with a student-centred approach
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
