Sawman - 3 Week Contract
We are currently recruiting for aSawmanto work for an established engineering company on a3-week temporary contract.
This is a hands‑on role within an engineering environment, involving the cutting and preparation of materials to the required specifications.
Job Details
- Contract:3 weeks
- Monday to Thursday:7:30am - 4:00pm
- Friday:8:00am - 12:00pm
- Pay:£12.71 per hour
- Equivalent annual salary:£23,793.12
Duties
- Operating saws safely and efficiently
- Cutting materials accurately to required measurements
- Measuring materials and following cutting lists/specifications
- Loading and handling materials
- Checking the quality of finished cuts
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Following health and safety procedures
- Working as part of the engineering/production team
Requirements
Previous experience operating saws or working within an engineering/manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Candidates should be reliable, practical, safety‑conscious and comfortable working in a hands‑on role.
Please note: This is a temporary position for 3 weeks only.
