Our client is a well-established precision engineering and fabrication company based in Wisbech, delivering high-quality fabrication and welding solutions across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team. The Role

As a TIG Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for manufacturing and fabricating high-quality components and assemblies from engineering drawings, ensuring all work meets the client's exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • TIG welding stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium components
  • Fabricating bespoke products from technical and engineering drawings
  • Cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing metalwork
  • Reading and interpreting fabrication and engineering drawings
  • Carrying out quality inspections to ensure a high standard of workmanship
  • Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely
  • Working to production schedules while maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder/Fabricator
  • Excellent TIG welding skills on stainless steel and mild steel (aluminium experience is advantageous)
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong fabrication skills and attention to detail
  • A high standard of workmanship and pride in producing quality products
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic

Desirable Skills

  • Recognised welding qualifications or certifications
  • Experience working within a precision engineering or fabrication environment
  • Experience using workshop machinery such as guillotines, press brakes, band saws, and pillar drills
