Interaction Recruitment is working on behalf of our client to recruit a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team. This is a permanent role, ideal for someone with purchase ledger or accounts experience who enjoys working in a supportive, structured environment.
£28,000 pro rata, 18 hours per week (additional overtime of up to 6 hours may be required around month-end). Flexible working pattern to be agreed.
Core Responsibilities- Receiving, scanning, coding (including VAT), and accurately posting purchase invoices
- Creating and maintaining supplier accounts, handling queries and disputes
- Preparing BACS and cheque payments, supporting payment runs
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, reconciling supplier statements
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies or payment issues
- Processing staff expense claims and petty cash
- Assisting with month-end/year-end reports, audits, and providing general finance team support
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Proactive problem-solving abilities
- Experience using SAP or similar accounting software
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant / purchase ledger role preferred
