Salary: £33,000-£35,000 base salary

Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-16.30 + Overtime @ 1.5x

About the Client: Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support their team expansion. With over 50 years of experience, our client is looking to onboard and train engineers from plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural backgrounds. They offer a comprehensive training scheme and clear internal progression routes.

The Package:

  • 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays (increasing by 1 day for every year of service, up to 25 days)
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x after 8 hours per day
  • Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days of annual leave per annum
  • Full training and development with a focus on internal progression (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager)
  • Substantial salary and benefits increases with each promotion

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client sites to maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural industry (essential)
  • Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
  • Experience working on engines (advantageous)
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience
  • A desire to lead, manage, and grow a team
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering) (advantageous)
  • Full UK Driver's License
