Excellent Overtime Opportunities

Overtime is consistently available throughout the year, with many engineers regularly completing between 5 and 10 overtime hours per week.

Overtime Rates:

  • 1.5x Monday-Saturday
  • 2x Sundays & Bank Holidays

Based on 5 hours overtime per week:

  • £28,000 basic salary = Approx. £33,250 annual earnings
  • £34,000 basic salary = Approx. £40,375 annual earnings

Based on 10 hours overtime per week:

  • £28,000 basic salary = Approx. £38,500 annual earnings
  • £34,000 basic salary = Approx. £46,750 annual earnings

Additional call-out retainers and paid travel time can further increase earnings.

The Role

As an Agricultural Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery, ensuring customers receive the highest level of support and equipment uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair agricultural machinery including tractors, combines, balers, telehandlers and associated equipment
  • Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve breakdowns
  • Carry out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers
  • Work independently in the field while liaising with the service team to ensure the best outcome for customers

Requirements

  • Previous experience working on agricultural machinery, plant equipment, construction machinery, forklifts, commercial vehicles, HGVs, or similar heavy equipment
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent are advantageous
  • Full UK Driving Licence
