About the Role

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established operation in Hatfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team working on a mixed fleet of trucks, vans, and trailers in a fast-paced, professional workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a mixed fleet of HGVs, vans, and trailers
  • Perform routine inspections and safety checks
  • Complete MOT preparation and presentation
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
  • Accurately complete all job cards and service documentation using online systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV Maintenance/Mechanics
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience preferred
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • HGV Class 1 licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic IT skills for workshop systems
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices
