Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef required to join an award-winning bar and restaurant nestled in rural Kettering. This company is an independently owned business, priding themselves on their fresh locally sourced produce and preparing beautiful high value creations.

Rota: You will be required to work 4 out of 7 days per week, typically evenings and weekends. The business is open 7 days per week between 11:00 and 22:00. You will have at least 1 day off over the weekend and 2 days off together during the week for a better work-life balance. You will work 4 x 12hr shifts per week (contracted to 48hrs per week).

Staffing: There are circa 6-7 experienced and/or qualified Chefs working on a full-time permanent contract, with a Relief Chef on standby. The newly promoted Exec Chef promotes a calm working environment. The F&B Manager is highly experienced and French trained. One of the Directors is a Chef by trade.

Salary banding: Salary negotiable depending on experience, circa £35k to £40k per annum DOE, paid monthly.

Tips: Tips are shared equally, averaging £150-£160 per week, paid weekly.

Environment: Stunning village location in rural Kettering. Sizeable immaculate kitchen. Beautifully designed restaurant and bar.

Applicants: Fresh produce experience is mandatory, ideally French cuisine trained. Prior work experience of 3 years or more in a Rosette or Michelin Star restaurant. Established seniority within a commercial kitchen, ability to train and develop Junior Chefs. Be adaptable to change; procedures and protocols are well established. Strong Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef required. Seafood experience ideal. Up to date Food Hygiene / Food Safety L2. Clean and tidy Chef. Good work ethics and personality will go a long way.
