Field Service Engineer – Industrial Cleaning Equipment

Location: Wembley, Greater London (applications welcome from all commutable areas)

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 Basic Salary + £5,000 London Weighting Allowance

OTE: £50,000+

Hours: Monday-Friday, Days Only (40 Hours per Week)

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a wide range of industrial cleaning equipment across customer sites within approximately one hour of your home location. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending customer sites to service, repair and install industrial cleaning equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical faults
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Working on petrol, diesel and LPG-powered engines
  • Using electrical diagnostics and fault-finding equipment
  • Completing service reports and updating job information accurately
  • Ordering replacement parts when required
  • Managing your workload efficiently to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company Health & Safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering role
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills
  • Experience working on engines, machinery or industrial equipment
  • Confidence using electrical and mechanical hand tools
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment would be advantageous
  • A background in industries such as plant, forklifts, HGV, automotive, agricultural, powered access or maintenance engineering would be highly beneficial
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
