The Role
As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will:
- Carry out mechanical fault finding and repairs on production machinery and associated equipment.
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair gearboxes, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety standards and promote best practices.
- Support plant layout changes and installations as required.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical bias with working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Skilled in fault finding and diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
