Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

£47,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime + On-Call Payments
Double Days (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00, Weekly Rotation)
Permanent | Full-Time
The Opportunity
A leading manufacturing and recycling business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. Package & Benefits
- Salary of £47,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate
- On-call allowance of £3,250 per annum
- Minimum 2 hours paid at overtime rate for call-outs

Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities across production equipment
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and production issues
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Support production teams by minimising equipment downtime
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Proven maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing, production, or processing environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work across both electrical and mechanical systems
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred
- Electrical bias would be advantageous
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
