As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment across customer sites throughout your area.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Servicing and maintaining forklift trucks and associated equipment
- Completing service and repair documentation accurately
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent service
- Working independently while maintaining communication with the wider engineering team
Previous experience working within the Forklift, Plant or Material Handling industries is required, along with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills. Experience working with engines, batteries and mobile plant equipment is essential, as is the ability to work independently in a field-based environment. Engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are advantageous. A full UK Driving Licence is also required.
