The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment across customer sites throughout your area. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Servicing and maintaining forklift trucks and associated equipment
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out emergency repairs
- Completing service and repair documentation accurately
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent service
- Working independently while maintaining communication with the wider engineering team
- Repairing and maintaining engines, batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working within the Forklift, Plant or Material Handling industries
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with engines, batteries and mobile plant equipment
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
