The Opportunity

A leading specialist in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration services is looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join their growing engineering team. With over 40 years of industry success, the business provides installation, maintenance, servicing and breakdown support to a wide range of commercial clients across the UK. Due to continued growth and the award of several new contracts, they are now seeking an additional field-based engineer to cover Northamptonshire and the surrounding region. The Role

As a Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a variety of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across customer sites. Your duties will include:

  • Reactive breakdown response and fault diagnosis
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Installation and commissioning of HVAC equipment
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Working on VRV, VRF, Split Systems, Multi-Splits, Chillers and Cold Rooms
  • Leak detection, repairs and system testing
  • Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
  • Delivering excellent customer service on-site
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements

About You

We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience working within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sector and are looking to join a business that values and rewards its workforce.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working on Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration systems
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • Previous experience in a field service role
  • IPAF, PASMA or CSCS accreditation
  • Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Panasonic or Fujitsu
