Hours of work: Some flexibility- Mon to Fri 07:00-16:00/ 08:00-17:00/ 09:00-18:00

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and well-established business based in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded QS looking to develop their career while working on a range of exciting construction and infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

  • As a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial performance of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
    • Monitoring costs and reporting on financial performance
    • Supporting subcontractor procurement, tendering, and negotiations
    • Preparing and assessing interim valuations and payments
    • Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts
    • Assisting with contract administration (JCT / NEC)
    • Liaising closely with site teams, project managers, and senior commercial staff

What we are looking for

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the UK construction sector
  • Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
