Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and well-established business based in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded QS looking to develop their career while working on a range of exciting construction and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do
- As a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial performance of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
- Monitoring costs and reporting on financial performance
- Supporting subcontractor procurement, tendering, and negotiations
- Preparing and assessing interim valuations and payments
- Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts
- Assisting with contract administration (JCT / NEC)
- Liaising closely with site teams, project managers, and senior commercial staff
What we are looking for
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the UK construction sector
- Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
