Interaction Recruitment are looking for a Chef de Partie to work in a prestigious school in Buckinghamshire (Milton Keynes area).

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our busy and friendly school catering team. Working alongside a team of 4 chefs and 6 kitchen assistants, you will help prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for approximately 450-500 pupils each day. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a structured environment with sociable hours and takes pride in delivering great food for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and carry out daily food preparation.
  • Assist with the cooking and service of meals for around 450+ pupils.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control.
  • Follow food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Work efficiently as part of a large, supportive kitchen team.
  • Help with kitchen cleaning and organisation as required.

Working Hours

  • Between Monday to Sunday, on a rota, weekends will be included.
  • Shifts are typically 06:30 – 14:30 or 11:30 – 19:30.
  • 40 hours per week 52 weeks of the year.
  • Your time off is most likely to be Christmas, Easter, Half Terms & some of the summer break.
  • Enhanced overtime is paid over 40h per week.
  • The salary is £32,000 - £32,500 per annum.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or similar role within a school catering environment.
  • Excellent food preparation and knife skills.
  • The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-volume kitchen.
  • A positive attitude and strong team-working skills.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before employment).
