The Role
As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
- Conducting vehicle inspections and fault-finding diagnostics.
- Completing servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
- Preparing HGVs for MOT testing.
- Working efficiently to manage your workload and maintain productivity.
- Liaising with the Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and ensuring equipment longevity.
- Completing all required documentation accurately for each job carried out.
Required Skills & Competencies
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience across a varied HGV fleet
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Capability to deliver servicing to manufacturer and main dealer standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
