The Role
As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites. Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team, you will carry out planned maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown repairs, and commissioning activities, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on customer sites
- Conduct equipment inspections and service visits
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensure work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a mechanical engineering, maintenance, service, or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on industrial machinery, plant equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, or similar mechanical systems
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently whilst managing site-based activities
- Full UK Driving Licence
