Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 + £2,000 Travel Bonus

OTE: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

The Role

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites. Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team, you will carry out planned maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown repairs, and commissioning activities, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer looking to develop their skills through comprehensive manufacturer training while building a long-term career within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on customer sites
  • Conduct equipment inspections and service visits
  • Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
  • Ensure work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a mechanical engineering, maintenance, service, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working on industrial machinery, plant equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, or similar mechanical systems
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently whilst managing site-based activities
  • Full UK Driving Licence
