- 6:00pm 1.5-hour unpaid break 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off rota Overtime available and paid at 1.3x hourly rate Job Type: Full Time, Permanent The Company: Interaction Technical have partnered with a leading commercial vehicle maintenance provider to recruit an experienced HGV Technician (Days) | Scania Fleet Specialist to join their established workshop operation in Grimsby.
Working predominantly on a modern fleet of Scania vehicles, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to further develop their career within a professional and well-equipped workshop environment.

£45,500 per annum • 10 hours per week overtime: Approx.
£48,000 per annum • 15 hours per week overtime: Approx.
£50,500 per annum The Role: • Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on a fleet of predominantly Scania HGVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Complete routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
• Strip, inspect and rebuild major vehicle components including engines, gearboxes, differentials and braking systems.
• Conduct vehicle testing and fault-finding to ensure maximum fleet reliability and compliance.
• Complete safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA requirements.
• Record maintenance activities accurately through workshop management systems.
• Support workshop efficiency by maintaining high-quality workmanship and productivity standards.
• Work collaboratively with fellow technicians and workshop management to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Adhere to all company health & safety procedures and best engineering practices.
The Requirements: • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician (essential).
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent (essential).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
• Proven ability to strip, inspect and rebuild vehicle components.
• Experience working on Scania vehicles would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
