We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working Class 2 Driver / Yardman to join a busy waste management company. This is a hybrid role, combining Class 2 vehicle driving (40%) with hands-on yard duties (60%), offering variety and steady weekday work. This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

Role Details

  • Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Contract: Temp to Perm
  • Location: Paddock Wood

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out collections and movements as required
  • General yard duties, including:
  • Loading and unloading waste materials
  • Breaking down items in the yard
  • Assisting with waste disposal operations
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
  • Working closely with the yard and transport teams to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Requirements

    • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
    • Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
    • CPC and Digital Tachograph card (essential)
    • No more than 6 points on your licence
    • Physically fit and capable of manual work due to the nature of yard duties
    • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors
    • Good understanding of health and safety procedures
