We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working Class 2 Driver / Yardman to join a busy waste management company. This is a hybrid role, combining Class 2 vehicle driving (40%) with hands-on yard duties (60%), offering variety and steady weekday work. This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
Role Details
- Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Contract: Temp to Perm
- Location: Paddock Wood
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out collections and movements as required
- General yard duties, including:
- Loading and unloading waste materials
- Breaking down items in the yard
- Assisting with waste disposal operations
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card (essential)
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- Physically fit and capable of manual work due to the nature of yard duties
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
