We are recruiting a Food Production Operative to join a busy fruit processing site in Sittingbourne. This is a hands-on, manual role involving the production of fruit purées in an industrial environment.
Shift patterns include:
- 6am–2pm
- 2pm–10pm
- Shifts that vary between 6am and 10pm
Key Responsibilities
- Producing fruit purée using industrial machinery
- Moving wheeled containers weighing up to 500kg (full training provided)
- Loading fruit into production machines
- pH testing of finished product and recording results
- Filling and handling 10kg tubs of fruit purée
- Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
Manual Handling
This is a very physical role. Applicants must be comfortable with:
- Regular manual handling
- Pulling and manoeuvring heavy wheeled containers
- Standing for long periods and working in a production environment
Requirements
- Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle (Site is inaccessible by public transport and located down country lanes)
- Physically fit and capable of heavy manual work
- Reliable, punctual, and committed
- Looking for a long-term role, not short-term or temporary work
- Willing to learn and be trained within the business
PPE
All PPE is provided except safety boots.
Contract
