On a mission to banish boring offices and with several exciting projects in the mix, we’re always on the hunt for Interior Designers to join our brilliant design team. Based in Bath, our creative crew work on a range of commercial design and build projects, from bespoke office fit-outs to multi-million pound building refurbishments.
As a Junior Designer at Interaction you'll be exposed to a wide variety of design activities within the office design and build industry. Layouts, finishes, research, site visits, presentations, pitches & drawing packages - you’ll be involved in it all. We’re looking for people who can enthusiastically and passionately communicate design concepts. If you’re relentlessly curious – and creative of course! – then we want to hear from you.
Important note on experience
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a Graduate designer role. If you have under 2 years of full time work experience within the Commercial Workplace (office) design industry, please do not apply. You must have a minimum of 2 years of full time experience, 1 of which must be within the workplace (office) design industry to be considered as a Junior Designer for this role.
Application process
We appreciate that you won’t have a fully developed portfolio yet, so this application is interview & project based. Please submit your portfolio and a cover letter, alongside any relevant workspace (office) specific experience or project work you have completed. We will invite shortlisted candidates to our office, where you will be provided with a brief, blank layouts and materials to pull together a small project, which you will then present both your mini-project & your portfolio. We will ensure the environment is supportive and comfortable during the interview process, as we want to see your most creative & relaxed selves.

- A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or equivalent.
- At least 2 years in industry, with at least 1 year in workplace specific design.
Advantageous
- Knowledge and experience using various software packages including AutoCAD, Revit, Office 365, Sketchup, Enscape and Adobe suite.
Salary
Junior Salary: £30k - £34k (subject to experience)
