About the Role
Interaction Recruitment, on behalf of their client, are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a busy engineering workshop in Rochdale.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working, reliable and skilled Welder/Fabricator looking for long-term, permanent employment with a growing and established manufacturing business.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding and fabricating a range of components and assemblies, working to high standards and in accordance with engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
MIG welding mild steel from 2mm to 10mm
Fabrication of frameworks and sub-assemblies to a high standard
Reading and working confidently from engineering drawings
General engineering workshop duties
Producing accurate, high-quality work
Working efficiently as part of a busy workshop team
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator
Strong MIG welding experience
Experience welding mild steel between 2mm and 10mm
Previous engineering workshop experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent attention to detail
High standard of workmanship
Reliable, hardworking and dependable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ideally based in or around Rochdale
Working Hours & Benefits
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 2:45pm
38 hours per week
£16.00–£17.00 per hour
28 days paid holiday, including Bank Holidays
Full-time, permanent position following a satisfactory probationary period
