We are looking for an experienced Plater to join our client's growing team, working with heavy gauge steel on a variety of fabrication projects.

Location: Worsley

Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (38 hours per week)

About the Role

As a Plater, you will be responsible for marking out, assembling, and fabricating heavy gauge steel components to engineering drawings. You'll work as part of a skilled fabrication team, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Mark out, fabricate, and assemble heavy gauge steel components.
  • Use a range of fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specifications.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Plater, ideally working with heavy gauge steel.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
