We are looking for an experienced Plater to join our client's growing team, working with heavy gauge steel on a variety of fabrication projects.
Location: Worsley
Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (38 hours per week)
About the Role
As a Plater, you will be responsible for marking out, assembling, and fabricating heavy gauge steel components to engineering drawings. You'll work as part of a skilled fabrication team, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Mark out, fabricate, and assemble heavy gauge steel components.
- Use a range of fabrication tools and equipment.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specifications.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Plater, ideally working with heavy gauge steel.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
