We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking Welder's Mate to support their busy fabrication and welding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a workshop or engineering environment who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within the industry.
The Role
Working alongside experienced welders and fabricators, your duties will include:

Assisting welders with preparation and assembly work

Grinding, fettling and cleaning welded components

Measuring, marking out and preparing materials

Loading and unloading materials and finished products

Operating hand and power tools safely
-
Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment

Supporting general fabrication and workshop activities

Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
-
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or welding environment

Ability to use hand and power tools
-
Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic

Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Welding or fabrication knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
