are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable
Class 2 Driver
to join their team on a permanent basis with immediate interview and start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for a permanent position with a competitive salary and regular working pattern.

The Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers within an allocated area safely, efficiently and professionally.

You will be responsible for the care and upkeep of your assigned vehicle while ensuring deliveries are accurate, secure and completed to a high standard.

Excellent customer service is an important part of the role, with drivers representing both our client and their business when dealing with customers.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic operator maintenance, ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.

Check that all products required for each delivery are accurate, correctly loaded and safely secured.

Complete delivery documentation and return records accurately.

Handle any required payment collection.

Fulfil customer-specific delivery requests in accordance with delivery instructions.

Maintain confidentiality regarding customer premises, security arrangements and operational information.

Review delivery schedules, prepare orders and organise delivery routes.

Plan routes efficiently while taking account of delivery schedules and customer requirements.

Communicate any stock shortages, delivery issues or discrepancies to customers where required.

Return empty containers, cases and gas bottles, ensuring they are handled and stored safely in the designated area.

Follow all company health and safety procedures and relevant legal requirements.

Complete all required vehicle, delivery and safety checks and ensure documentation is submitted correctly.

Assist with warehouse duties when required.

Maintain a professional appearance and wear the required company uniform at all times.

Undertake physical work and manual handling as part of the role.

About You
The successful candidate will have: A valid
Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence .

Good knowledge of safe driving practices and road safety.

Strong communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills and a professional manner.

The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

The ability to work to delivery schedules and deadlines.

A willingness to undertake physical work and manual handling.

A reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.

Salary & Working Hours

Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Rotating two-week shift pattern: Week 1:
Monday to Friday
Week 2:
Tuesday to Saturday
Potential for unplanned overtime when required.
