The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering construction-related products to customers across the local region while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver roofing, cladding, and associated materials to customer sites.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport goods, ensuring all deliveries arrive in excellent condition.
  • Operate a HIAB crane where required (full training available for suitable candidates).
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
  • Ensure all loads are correctly secured and comply with transport regulations.
  • Complete delivery documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Adhere to Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Road Traffic regulations at all times.
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a positive company image.
  • Assist with general depot and yard duties when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately.
