About the Role
We are supporting a well-established automotive workshop in their search for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy, professional service centre. This position offers the chance to work with a wide variety of vehicles, delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle servicing & repairs — routine maintenance and mechanical repair work across passenger and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnostics — identify and resolve faults using appropriate diagnostic tools
- MOT testing (if qualified)
- Warranty repairs — complete work in line with manufacturer standards
- Vehicle Health Checks and accurate completion of all supporting documentation
- Collaborate with workshop colleagues to meet productivity and quality targets
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Overtime available on an ad-hoc basis
- Saturday mornings on a rota (as required)
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator and effective team player
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
