About the Role

We are supporting a well-established automotive workshop in their search for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy, professional service centre. This position offers the chance to work with a wide variety of vehicles, delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle servicing & repairs — routine maintenance and mechanical repair work across passenger and light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnostics — identify and resolve faults using appropriate diagnostic tools
  • MOT testing (if qualified)
  • Warranty repairs — complete work in line with manufacturer standards
  • Vehicle Health Checks and accurate completion of all supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with workshop colleagues to meet productivity and quality targets
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
  • Overtime available on an ad-hoc basis
  • Saturday mornings on a rota (as required)

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator and effective team player
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
