As demand grows, we are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to cover Stevenage and the surrounding region. Your Role: You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration systems within supermarkets and large retail stores. This is a mobile role, requiring travel between sites, dealing with both planned and reactive maintenance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain commercial refrigeration systems (packs, display cases, cold rooms, etc.)
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis
  • Support system upgrades and install new refrigeration plant as needed
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety and environmental standards
  • Provide detailed job reports and communicate clearly with customers
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota (paid additionally)

What You’ll Need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
  • Experience working on supermarket refrigeration systems (e.g. CO2 packs, remote cases, cold rooms)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Flexibility to cover call-outs on a rota basis
