Key Responsibilities
  • Manage personal tax returns — Prepare Self Assessment Tax Returns for a diverse client base including individuals, HNWIs, landlords, and sole traders.
  • Develop your own portfolio — Work towards taking ownership of a client portfolio with ongoing support.
  • Provide tailored tax advice — Assist clients with matters such as buy-to-let taxation, foreign income, residency, and Capital Gains Tax.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact — Liaise with clients and HMRC, handling queries and supporting tax enquiries.
  • Ensure accurate compliance — Deliver high-quality, accurate tax compliance work as the core focus of the role.
What you will need
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong working knowledge of UK personal tax and Self Assessment
  • Commercial awareness and a client-first mindset
  • Proficiency with tax software (IRIS preferred) and Microsoft Office
